About PROSPEC

A specialist function, deliberately narrow.

PROSPEC exists because planning and project controls is too important to be a side task on someone's desk. We are not a full-service PMC and not a contractor. We do one thing — programme and controls — and we do it properly, as an outsourced monthly service.

Contractors win work on delivery, not on paperwork. But without a dedicated planner, the programme quietly decays: the baseline ages, updates slip, and reporting becomes a scramble the night before a review. When a delay claim lands, there is nothing solid to stand on.

PROSPEC fills that gap. We give contractors the planning and controls capability of a much larger organisation — the visibility, the early warning, and the defensible record — without the cost and commitment of building an in-house team.

Chapter 01 — Values

Three principles we hold to.

01

Outcome-Led

We are measured on visibility, early warning, and defensible records — not on the volume of documents produced.

02

Specialist, Not Generalist

We do one thing: planning and project controls. It is a discipline, not a side task bolted onto a PM role.

03

Built On Evidence

Every programme, update, and report is contemporaneous and traceable — a record that holds up under scrutiny.

Project planning professional on site

Founder background

Rooted in UK infrastructure and civil engineering planning.

  • Background in UK infrastructure and civil engineering project planning.
  • MSc in Construction & Project Management.
  • Core discipline in Primavera P6 programme development and control.
  • Experience across baseline management, WBS, and critical path & float analysis.
  • NEC / Clause 32-style programme reporting on formal contracts.

Chapter 02 — Foundations

The project types behind our methodology.

These are the sectors the founder's experience covers — the foundation of PROSPEC's approach, not a list of current client projects.

Civil Engineering & Groundworks

Earthworks, structures and enabling works where sequencing and float discipline decide the outcome.

Infrastructure & Public Works

Utilities, drainage and public-realm programmes with multiple interfaces and stakeholders.

Defence & Institutional Projects

Secure, controlled environments demanding rigorous change control and reporting.

Transport & Highways

Highways and transport schemes with phased access, possessions and tight constraints.

Precast & Production Planning

Factory and precast production schedules synchronised with site demand.

NEC & Formal Contract Reporting

Programme submissions and reporting aligned to NEC / Clause 32 obligations.

Chapter 03 — How we work

Four steps to a live controls cycle.

01

Free health-check

We review your current programme, or its absence, and show you exactly where the risk sits.

02

Scope agreed

We define the controls cycle, reporting cadence and outputs that fit your project — and only those.

03

Baseline built or audited

We build a clean baseline from scratch, or audit and repair the one you already have.

04

Monthly cycle begins

Updates, look-aheads, delay analysis and reporting run on a steady, dependable rhythm.
